6 tbs. Flour
1 tbs. Rice flour
2 pcs Egg
1 tsp. Sugar
3 pinch Salt
4 pcs Banana or Ripe Plantine ( an African Banana )
200 ml Vegetable oil for deep frying
50 ml Honey
1 pcs Lemon Lemon slices on four sides.
Place flour in a deep mixing bowl. Make a well in the middle of the flour, and add egg, sugar and salt. Add fresh milk little by little. Whisk vigorously until batter is evenly smooth for coating and not too thin. If it is too thin, add more flour.
Peel plantation or bananas and cut in half lengthwise and then cut again into two. Dip into batter to coat generously.
Heat oil in a wok or deep fryer until moderately hot. Place coated plantation or finger bananas in the wok or deep fryer and fry slowly until golden brown and crispy. Remove bananas from oil, drain on paper napkins and dry well.
Lemon slices on four sides. Discard the center of the lemon. Remove seeds. Squeezed the lemon and place the lemon juice in a small bowl. Add honey and mix well. Pour the lemon juice and honey mixture over bananas.
Garnish with the sliced of lemon. Serve while still warm
